Homer2000 is a new foundation, which aims to support culturally endangered tribes and communities. Its objective is to develop a system to collect, produce and provide digital access to tribal cultural knowledge and practices.

A kind of audiovisual Wikipedia for tribes, a “family album” or “virtual museum” for those who often rely on oral transmission and visual memories of their intangible cultural assets and whose cultures are today threatened through rapid social and environmental change.

The open platform will be using all kind of audiovisual forms of recording including filming and photography (documentary, portrait, fashion and art). It is being developed in cooperation with the tribal community and will rely on input and support from those who belief that tribal knowledge and heritage is enriching our human experience and deserves its right place in our cultural human memory.
